Addenda to Your Sexuality Contract

horizontal rule

Hopefully, you have already viewed the 5 tenets of the Sexuality Contract. If you have, then you understand that the contract is a series of promises that you make with yourself to ensure that you have established boundaries to protect you from "weak moments" or making a decision that you might regret.

For example, while the contract allows that kissing is exempt, you may wish to set a limit on kissing, anyway. Just because a guy took you out and you had a wonderful time and you want to see him again, maybe, just maybe, it's moving too fast to kiss on the first date. You have, no doubt, heard the phrase, "You have to kiss a lot of toads before you meet your prince." Maybe, just maybe, you're still kissing too many toads. If you kiss too soon, if you become too attached, you won't be looking for your bottom line deal breakers or for red flags, while it's still relatively painless to walk away.

So, while the contract itself is about setting boundaries in your behavior (being a grown-up), you may wish to consider several possible addenda, to insure that you make healthy choices (or, if you're lucky or smart, one healthy choice!) to insure that you get what you want and avoid what you don't. So, consider these as possible addenda to your personal sexuality contract:
